1. Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure compliance with quality standards.
2. Perform daily inspections during construction, pre- and post-concreting inspections, and site investigations to identify and address quality issues.
3. Develop and implement quality control procedures, establish quality objectives, and monitor corrective actions.
4. Verify that materials, workmanship, and construction processes adhere to project specifications, codes, standards, and regulations.
5. Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of quality control and assurance activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other quality-related documents.
6. Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other engineers to resolve quality issues and ensure smooth project execution.
7. Conduct internal quality audits to assess compliance with quality requirements and identify areas for improvement.
8. Oversee concrete sampling, slump tests, and other material testing procedures.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field, accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers. (Licensure as a professional engineer is an advantage).
2. Strong understanding of construction practices, quality principles, and relevant codes and standards.
3. Ability to analyze data, identify root causes of quality issues, and develop effective solutions.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including site personnel, engineers, and management.
5. Experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry, preferably with experience in PMC (Project Management Consultancy) or construction projects.
6. Familiarity with relevant software for documentation, reporting, and analysis.
